Vocational expert engagements are scoped to the assignment. Fees depend on the volume of records, the number of vocational issues in dispute, and whether deposition or trial testimony is required. KWVRS provides a written fee schedule and a cost estimate before work begins.

What drives cost

• Volume and complexity of the medical, educational, and employment records to review
• Number of vocational issues in dispute, such as employability, earning capacity, and transferable skills
• Whether a vocational interview and standardized testing are required
• Need for a labor market survey or wage research specific to the jurisdiction
• Number of report revisions and supplemental opinions requested
• Deposition and trial testimony, including preparation and travel time

Billing structure

Forensic vocational services are billed at an hourly rate for record review, evaluation, analysis, report preparation, and testimony. A retainer is established at the outset and applied against time incurred. The current rate schedule and retainer terms are provided on request and confirmed in a written engagement agreement.
