Privacy Policy

We collect the information you type into the forms on this site. Each form collects only what is listed here:

• Contact form: your name, email address, phone number, the case type, how you heard about us, your preferred language, whether the matter is a rush, and your message.
• Schedule a consultation: your name, email address, phone number, firm, the case type and jurisdiction, your preferred language and contact preferences, and a description of the matter.
• Retainer intake and Professional Services Agreement forms: the retaining attorney's and paralegal's names and contact details, the firm and its billing contact and address, opposing counsel and any insurance carrier and claim number, the name, date of birth, education and occupation of the individual to be evaluated, a description of the injury, the case type, venue and key dates, the services requested, payment terms, a case summary, and the electronic signature and date on the services agreement.
• White paper request: your name and work email address, and the paper you asked for.
• Economic damages estimator and life expectancy tool: your name, firm and work email address, together with the scenario you entered (for the estimator: ages, earnings, dates and the other inputs on the page; for the life expectancy tool: the subject's age, sex and population group).
• Payment notice: the payer's name and email address, the invoice number and the amount, which we record so we can match the payment when it arrives. We do not collect card numbers or bank-account numbers on this site. The payment itself is made in the payer's own bank or Zelle app.
• Raffle or event entry: your name, email address, firm, bar association, an optional mobile number, and the event you entered at.
• Secure records upload: the documents you choose to upload. The upload portal is hosted on a separate address operated by KWVRS and is reached only through a personal link that we email.

The free-text fields on the contact, consultation and retainer intake forms, and the documents sent through the secure upload portal, can include information about other people - in particular the person being evaluated - including injury, medical, employment and financial details supplied by the retaining attorney or firm. We use that information only to check for conflicts, to scope the work, and to perform the engagement.

We do not purchase or use third-party data to supplement the information you provide directly.

Our web servers and hosting provider keep standard request logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring URL, and the date and time of the request.

When you submit a form, we store the IP address and browser user-agent with that submission for spam and abuse prevention. The server also keeps a short-lived, in-memory count of recent requests per IP address to limit automated submissions. That count is not written to disk and is discarded within minutes.

The site itself sets no cookies.

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure which pages are visited. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<property id>, which last up to two years) holding a random identifier for your browser. Google processes this information as our service provider. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are switched off. Analytics does not run on the retainer intake and agreement pages, the payment page, the forms and client forms pages, or the raffle entry page.

Browser storage: when you unlock a white paper, the site saves a flag in your browser's local storage so the paper stays unlocked on your next visit. The flag contains no identifier and is not sent to us. If you turn analytics off with the control below, that preference is saved the same way.

Cloudflare Turnstile loads on pages that contain a form, to block automated spam. Turnstile receives your IP address and signals from your browser, and it may set its own strictly necessary cookies or browser storage to do that job. Cloudflare provides this service to us as our service provider.

We use no advertising pixels, no session recording, and no cross-site tracking.

We do not load analytics for a browser that sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal.

You can also turn analytics off for this browser with the control below. Doing so stops analytics on this site and deletes the Google Analytics cookies it has set. The preference is kept in this browser, so you would need to set it again in another browser or after clearing site data.

You can also configure your browser to refuse or delete cookies. The site works the same way without them.

We use the information described above to respond to inquiries, to check for conflicts, to scope and perform engagements, for billing, to keep the site secure and free of spam, and to measure how the site is used.

If you request a white paper, use an estimator or calculator tool, enter a raffle or event giveaway, or otherwise ask to hear from us, we may contact you about our services. You can tell us to stop at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails, replying to the message, or emailing info@kwvrs.com. We do not use case details for marketing.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you engage KWVRS as an expert or consulting firm, information relevant to the engagement will be used in connection with that professional relationship in accordance with applicable professional obligations.

We disclose information to vendors that operate this site and our practice systems on our behalf. They are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us. By category:

• Website and application hosting: Railway.
• Database: Supabase.
• Email delivery: Resend.
• Practice management and client intake: Clio.
• Task management: Asana.
• Document storage: Google Drive (Google Workspace).
• Electronic signature of services agreements: Documenso, which we host ourselves.
• Drafting of marketing text: Anthropic, which receives aggregate statistics only (for example, how many attorneys have used a service) and never a name, a contact detail or any case detail.
• Spam protection: Cloudflare (Turnstile).
• Site analytics: Google (Google Analytics 4).

We may disclose information when required to do so by law, in response to a lawful court order or subpoena, or in connection with a legal proceeding to which we are a party. We may also disclose information where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the safety of any person or to address fraud, security, or technical issues.

Case-related information submitted through our forms or provided in connection with a potential engagement is treated as confidential, and KWVRS does not voluntarily disclose it to adverse parties or unrelated third parties. Disclosure may nonetheless be required by law, by court order or subpoena, or by the expert-disclosure rules that govern a retained expert's work in a proceeding. Whether consulting-expert work-product or any other protection applies to information sent before retention depends on the retention and the rules of the forum; a professional relationship with KWVRS begins only as described in our Terms of Service.

The website keeps a raw copy of each form submission as a safety net. We delete those copies after two years, and we delete submissions flagged as spam after 90 days. Records of inquiries and engagements in our practice systems are kept for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including conflict checking, professional and legal record-keeping obligations, and resolving disputes. You can ask us to delete an inquiry that did not become an engagement.

Anyone may email info@kwvrs.com to ask what information we hold about them, to correct it, or to delete it. We respond within 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Some records must be kept, for example where a matter is in active litigation or where a legal obligation requires us to retain them. Where information about a person being evaluated was supplied by a retaining attorney in a legal matter, we may need to direct the request through that attorney.

KWVRS is not a health-care provider. Medical and other health information that we receive in connection with a matter is handled under the confidentiality terms of the engagement and is used only to perform that engagement.

This site is operated in, and directed to, the United States. Information you submit is processed in the United States.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information you provide from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. This website uses HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.

No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee that information transmitted to or stored on our systems is immune from unauthorized access. You assume some risk when submitting information via any online form.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. This Privacy Policy applies only to kwvrs.com. This website is intended for use by legal professionals and adults with litigation-related inquiries. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 through this website. If we learn that a child under 13 has submitted personal information through the site, we will delete that information promptly. If you believe a child has done so, please contact us at info@kwvrs.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the revision date shown at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
