Daniel Wolstein, Ph.D.

Biography

Daniel Wolstein, Ph.D., is the Principal of Kincaid Wolstein Vocational and Rehabilitation Services, where he has practiced as a vocational counselor and consultant evaluator since 2006. His forensic work covers vocational evaluations, transferable skills analyses, labor market surveys and job analysis reports, the analysis of pre-injury and post-injury employability and earning capacity, research into local labor markets and wage data, and diagnostic interviews in personal injury and matrimonial cases. He also prepares life care planning assessments and reports, researches the costs of home care services and assistive technologies, and analyzes loss of household services using the Dollar Value of a Day and American Time Use Survey methodology. He holds a doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and Administration from East Carolina University (2014), a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Rutgers University (2010) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Ramapo College of New Jersey (2008). He has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor since 2010, a Certified Life Care Planner since 2015, a holder of the International Psychometric Evaluation Certification since 2015 and a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor since 2017, became a Certified Vocational Evaluator and a Forensic Vocational Expert in 2020, and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Vocational Experts. Dr. Wolstein served the American Board of Vocational Experts as Treasurer (2018 to 2020), President-elect (2021 to 2023) and President (2023 to 2025), holds its Past President seat for the 2025 to 2027 term, chaired its conference committee from 2021 to 2023, and received its Presidential Citation in 2019. He taught the Orientation to Forensic Rehabilitation Consultation course at the University of Florida as an adjunct professor from 2018 to 2022 and served as a Social Security vocational expert from 2015 to 2019. His writing has appeared in the Journal of Forensic Vocational Analysis, The Rehabilitation Professional and the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling, and his presentations include continuing legal education programs for Lawline and MyLawCLE, the New Jersey Association for Justice, the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers, a NELA panel at Fordham Law School and the American Board of Vocational Experts Knowledge Enhancement Seminars from 2020 through 2026.

Dr. Wolstein provides deposition and court testimony as a rehabilitation expert witness. His curriculum vitae records experience in court and in depositions in the personal injury and matrimonial matters in which he conducts diagnostic interviews and vocational evaluations, and service as a Social Security vocational expert from 2015 to 2019.
