Christopher Skerritt, M.Ed., MBA

Biography

Christopher Skerritt joined KWVRS in August 2022 as a vocational counselor, economist and consultant evaluator. His work at the firm spans the vocational and the economic sides of a damages opinion: labor market surveys and job analysis reports, transferable skills analyses, vocational evaluations and assessments, life care planning, and diagnostic interviews in career counseling, personal injury and matrimonial matters. He also prepares economic appraisals of closely held businesses in personal injury, wrongful death and marital dissolution cases, applying the income, market and asset-based approaches to estimate fair market value, and offers opinions on economic damages involving lost business profits and shareholder disputes. He builds regression-based and time-series models of past and future lost earning capacity, applying wage growth projections, fringe benefit multipliers, tax adjustments and present-value discounting; prepares economic loss appraisals covering lost wages, household services and lifetime care costs; and runs sensitivity and scenario analyses across alternative worklife expectancy forecasts and mitigation factors. His other roles have included vocational case management with Tempus Risk Solutions (2021 to 2022) and Mitchell/Genex/Coventry Workers Compensation Services (2018 to 2021), Social Security vocational expert work with Greylock Placement Services (2020 to 2022), vocational counseling in federal workers' compensation (OWCP) matters with Spectrum Healthcare Resources (2021 to 2025), and vocational rehabilitation counseling with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (2017 to 2018). He holds a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Leadership from Bryant University, a Master of Education in Rehabilitation Counseling from Springfield College and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders and Sciences from Springfield College. He is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, a Certified Vocational Evaluator, a Certified Life Care Planner, a Medicare Set Aside Certified Consultant, a Certified IPEC Evaluator and a Fellow of the American Board of Vocational Experts, holds the Forensic Vocational Expert designation of the American Rehabilitation Economics Association and served that association as president-elect (2024 to 2025) and president (2025 to 2026). He is a member of the National Association of Forensic Economics and the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts, and has published on artificial intelligence in rehabilitation counseling, vocational rehabilitation and life care planning in The Rehabilitation Professional, the Journal of Forensic Vocational Analysis and the Journal of Life Care Planning.

Prior Testimony

Christopher Skerritt provides deposition and trial testimony on economic principles, model construction and analytical findings, defending his methodological choices under cross-examination, and prepares the expert reports, exhibits and rebuttal analyses that the testimony rests on. As a Social Security vocational expert with Greylock Placement Services from 2020 to 2022 he attended disability hearings, testified in response to hypothetical questions about a claimant's ability to perform past work or adjust to other work, and identified suitable occupations from residual functional capacity and transferable skills. His curriculum vitae lists vocational expert testimony and forensic vocational expertise among his areas of practice, and he has presented on defendant expert witnesses to the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association and on the intersection of vocational experts and life care planners in personal injury and medical malpractice cases to the Trial Lawyer Section of the Florida Bar Association and to the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys.
